REGISTRATION - 2024-2025

Lottery process at Dr. Margaret-Ann Armour School

To help address enrolment growth and space shortages, Dr. Margaret-Ann Armour has a lottery process for new students enrolling for the 2024–25 school year.

Families of resident students who pre-enrolled by 4 p.m. on March 22, 2024 received a call from the school about lottery results on or before April 5.

As of April 5, 2024, Dr. Margaret-Ann Armour School has reached capacity in Kindergarten and Grades 2, 3 and 5 and has limited space in Grades 1, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9.

If we do not have space for your child for the 2024-25 school year they will:

  • be able to attend their overflow designated school (McKee School) or choose to enrol at a Level 1 school with space in planned classes.
  • be able to request to be placed on a callback list for spaces that open before March 21, 2025.

We will help resident families who were not selected in the lottery process register at their overflow designated school. If families choose to go to another Edmonton Public school, they will need to call or email their preferred school to see if there is space in planned classes. Siblings will also be able to attend the overflow designated school, but if families choose to go to another Division school with space in planned classes, siblings are not guaranteed to attend.

REGISTRATION AFTER MARCH 22

Resident students who newly move into our attendance area for the 2024–25 school year (after pre-enrolment closed on March 22) will be added to the bottom of the callback list in grades that have reached capacity. Students can attend their overflow designated school, another Edmonton Public school with space in planned classes, or remain at their current school, if applicable.

If your child is new to Edmonton Public Schools, you can register for school online. Visit the Division website to learn more.  Children must be resident students (at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic). All registration forms must be accompanied by at least 3 pieces of proof of address.

Please note that we cannot accept applications with future possession/move in dates.

TRANSPORTATION TO OVERFLOW DESIGNATED SCHOOLS

Yellow bus service to McKee School will be available for eligible K–6 students. Bus fees will apply. Students who are eligible for yellow bus service must apply before June 1, 2024. Important information and application forms can be found on the Applying for Yellow Bus Service page on epsb.ca.

Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) is the preferred transportation method for junior high and high school students; however, if ETS is not available, eligible students attending their overflow designated school may be able to apply for yellow bus service.
