Visit New Student Registration to learn how to submit your digital student registration form online.

Please note that our school will not accept new registrations from families who live in the attendance area if the student is not a resident of Edmonton Public Schools. A student is considered a resident of Edmonton Public Schools if they have at least one parent who lives in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic.

To help address enrolment growth and space shortages, our school used a lottery process to admit new resident students who wished to enrol for the 2022-23 school year

Each grade from K-9 has a limit on the number of classes at that grade level. In grades where the number of students who wished to enrol exceeded available space, a lottery process was used.

Resident students who were pre-enrolled or registered at Dr. Margaret-Ann Armour School by the pre-enrolment deadline of 4:00 PM on April 14, 2022 were eligible to participate in the lottery.

Families of resident students who participated in the lottery process received a phone call or email from the school about the lottery results.

Students who did not get into Dr. Margaret-Ann Armour School through the lottery process or who did not participate in the lottery process in grades that were full:

  • may attend their overflow designated school (Mckee School for K-6 and Vernon Barford School for Grades 7-9); siblings may also enrol at the overflow designated school if their grade is offered;
  • may remain at their current school if the grade is offered;
  • may enrol at another school with space;
  • may request to be placed on a callback list for spaces that open at Dr. Margaret-Ann Armour before the last instructional day in September 2022.

As of July 2022:

  • Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5 and Grade 8 are FULL.
  • There is limited space available in Grades 6, 7 and 9.

Our office is closed until August 22, 2022.  Please contact us at margaretannarmour@epsb.ca after this date if you require assistance registering at an overflow designated school.  The overflow designated schools for students who live in Ambleside and Glenridding Heights are:

  • McKee School for Kindergarten to Grade 6. Yellow bus service is available. Bus fees will apply.
  • Vernon Barford School for Grades 7 to 9. ETS is the preferred transportation method. If ETS does not meet Division standards, students may be able to apply for yellow bus service. Bus fees will apply.

Students may also attend a school of choice with space or remain at their current school (if the grade is offered). Yellow bus service is not available (except for some alternative programs). If you would like your child/ren to go to another Division school, they will need to call or email your preferred school to see if there is space.  If families choose to go to another school with space, siblings are not guaranteed a space.
