    2019-20 School Supplies

    KINDERGARTEN TO GRADE 5 STUDENTS

    School supplies for students in Kindergarten to Grade 5 are bulk ordered and ready for use on the first day of school. This environmentally friendly model of purchasing school supplies saves money and fosters cooperation and collaboration. Fees for school supplies will be collected in September. Please click here for more details.

    Families have the option of buying school supplies on their own. Please refer to the following list 2019-20 Supplies K-5‌ and email the school office at margaretannarmour@epsb.ca if you choose to purchase supplies for your children in grades K-5. 

    Students will also need a set of headphones/earbuds for computer use and pair of non-marking running shoes for physical education. 

    GRADE 6 TO 9 STUDENTS

  • Registration for the 2019-20 School Year

    Registration for the 2019-20 School Year

    Dr. Margaret-Ann Armour School has closed boundaries. Now that the Pre-Enrolment has ended, we are only able to accept students who are newly resident (after April 15, 2019) in our designated attendance area of Ambleside and Glenridding Heights.  

    The Glenridding Ravine neighbourhood is designated to George H. Luck School (K-6) and Riverbend School (7-9) for the 2019-20 school year.

    Kindergarten Registration

    Children must be five years of age on or before March 1, 2020 (and not pre-enrolled at another school) to be eligible to register for kindergarten. For the 2020-21 school year, the age of entry is changing so that children registering for kindergarten must be five years of age on or before December 31, 2020.

    Completed Registration Forms must be accompanied by at least three documents that confirm your address is in Ambleside or Glenridding Heights.

    Children who register after April 15, 2019 will be placed in an afternoon class. We will host  ‘welcome to kindergarten’ sessions for registered children in August.

    If your child has special education needs and requires specialized supports and services, please contact Celia Kim, Assistant Principal.

Welcome to Dr. Margaret-Ann Armour School, a Kindergarten to Grade 9 School serving students who reside in the neighbourhoods of Ambleside and Glenridding Heights in southwest Edmonton.

Our office is closed for the summer and will re-open at 9:00 am on Wednesday, August 21, 2019.

Regular hours (September through June) are 8:30 am to 4:00 pm and our phone number is 587-489-4704. You might have to leave a message, but we will get back to you as quickly as we can.

‌‌Dr. Margaret-Ann Armour School was named for a distinguished chemist who served as the Associate Dean of Diversity for the Faculty of Science at the University of Alberta until her death on Saturday, May 25, 2019

Dr. Armour was a passionate scientist and educator who never missed an opportunity to talk about the importance of curiosity, asking questions, and making the world a better place. Visit our School Profile page to learn more about our school's namesake.

As principal of Dr. Margaret-Ann Armour School, I am committed to nurturing a natural curiosity and joy of learning in all of our children and young people as they discover and develop their unique gifts.
